Macerata school and university
On the morning of Monday 13 May the Depangher collective interrupted the meeting at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Macerata which had as guests, among others, representatives ofIsraeli Bar-Ilan University.
The reason for the raid is, as communicated by the collective, linked to the agreements entered into by Unimc with “a university that daily through its channels supports the genocide that is taking place in Palestine and its perpetrators”.
During the intervention the collective relaunched the student mobilization day at the University of Macerata, alongside the Palestinian resistance, for Wednesday 15 May from 5pmand invited the rector John McCourt to a meeting with students during that day with the aim of shedding light on the issue of the agreements between UniMc and “the Zionist universities that support war, occupation and genocide”.
“Considering what is taking place in the Middle East – say the members of the Depangher collective – the only response we can accept from the university institution is the one concerning the immediate suspension of all agreements with the aforementioned universities””
