Today, Sunday 12 May, the Israeli genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, supported by the United States and Europe, entered its 219th day: after Israel rejected and responded with arrogance to Hamas’s truce proposal, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, the occupation army invaded Rafah, in the south of the Strip, where almost two million Gazan Palestinians have been displaced, while it intensified bombings, killing and wounding numerous citizens.
The Israeli occupation army continued to bomb houses in several areas of the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, with an intensification of incursions in Rafah, Jabalia and the az-Zeitun neighborhood of Gaza city.
According to media sources, 12 dead and several injured civilians have been evacuated to Kamal Adwan hospital in the last few hours following Israeli attacks on northern Gaza.
Medical and civil protection teams are still searching for more victims under the rubble of bombed houses in northern Gaza.
An unknown number of casualties were reported following Israeli attacks on houses in the az-Zeitun neighborhood of Gaza City and on a house belonging to the al-Dahduh family on Salahuddin Road, near the Dallul gas station.
Rescue teams were unable to reach the bombed areas in Gaza City and Salahuddin Road due to the intensity of the Israeli attacks.
On Saturday evening, medical and civil protection teams managed to recover the bodies of several martyrs and evacuate injured civilians following an Israeli attack on a house belonging to Okasha’s family in the al-Qasasib area of Jabalia.
More casualties were reported in several areas of Gaza following Israeli air, artillery and small-arms attacks on Saturday evening and Sunday.
The Gaza Health Ministry said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army committed eight massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, killing 63 civilians and wounding over 114, while a large number of casualties remain the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on the streets.
In a statement, the Health Ministry said the Israeli Army killed and injured a large number of civilians in several areas of Gaza over the past 24 hours, but only 177 of them, including 63 dead, were transported to hospitals. .
The ministry added that the death toll from Israeli shelling and shooting, which began on October 7, has risen to 35,034 dead and 78,755 injured.
According to the same sources, the occupation forces killed 493 health workers and arrested 310 otherswhile dozens of people are still missing.
They pointed out that the occupation troops have completely destroyed the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip, they put 33 hospitals and 55 health centers out of action and targeted 130 ambulances since the attack began.
