It probably started from poplar duvets the fire that broke out around midday on Sunday in the hamlet of Spadarolo in Rimini and which created a high column of black smoke visible even from afar. The fire affected the cycle path along the Marecchia, at the height of via dei Mulini, 29 e the fenced area of a private property where some old equipment is stored. The flames first affected the shade net placed as a shield for the fence and then reached the equipment which was on a trailer placed on top of a trailer. It is difficult to establish whether the fire, which was accidental in nature, started from inside or outside the property. Two fire brigade teams went out at 12.10 and worked for a long time to make the place safe. Only damage to objects was recorded.
But it wasn’t the only intervention of the day. The downs of the poplar trees, in fact, took part in various areas of the province, forcing the continuous exit of fire brigade vehicles. Only small fires in all cases but which required significant effort.
