Castelfidardo, 12 May 2024 – They were difficult moments Saturday evening (11 May) in via Cadorna a Castelfidardo. The firefighters responded at 11.30pm to a fire in an apartment, located on the third floor of a building. The Osimo fire brigade team that arrived on site used a ladder to enter the bedroom immediately where two elderly people had taken refuge and a neighbor who had come in to help. Given the seriousness of the situation, the team made use of a private aerial platform nearby to evacuate the three people.
The two elderly people have been entrusted to the care of healthcare personnel for the next one transport to hospital regional of Torrette. I’m not in serious condition. They would have breathed the smoke inside the house. in the meantime, the fire was extinguished with the Ancona team also assisting with tank trucks and ladder trucks. For reasons currently under investigation, the flames affected the kitchen, the bathroom and part of a corridor. It seems there was a short circuit. The apartment was declared unusable. The fire brigade officer on duty and the Carabinieri are on site.
