The PalaBandinelli in Velletri hosted a stage of the Csen National Cup. The Asd Judo Team of Barcelona participated in the event which saw the presence of over 700 athletes from all over Italy with five judokas from Barcelona who did well by reaching the category finals.
On the first day, the gold medals of Giuseppe Cicero in the 38 kg category and the bronze medal of Domenico Catanese in the 55 Kg category arrived in the Beginners B class. Among the Cadets Matteo Corrado, after two exciting victories, loses the challenge for the access to the final, but wins a beautiful bronze in the repechage.
During the second day of competitions, in the Cadet 73 Kg class Mario Mazzeo, who reached the final for 3/5th place, had to settle for 5th place in a very competitive category. In the Under 23 class he made his debut in the 66 kg category of Filippo Mazzeo who, with just six months of activity in the gym, reached the final for 3/5 place, but unfortunately due to his lack of experience he finished in 5 place. There remains satisfaction in the group for the team result which is creating so many expectations for the next commitments.
