Oppo today presents the latest addition to the A series of smartphones. It is Oppo A60a medium-low range smartphone characterized by a design that the company defines “premium and functional”. On a technical level it stands out for an almost 6.7 inch display, a not very defined IPS (the resolution is only HD) but with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, for stereo audio and for IP54 resistance, which it guarantees protection against splashes, not essential but rare in this price range.
The equipment in terms of memories is very good, in relation to the price: 8 GB of RAM and even 256 GB of storage, which can also be expanded by a further terabyte thanks to the microSD slot. The battery has an average capacity – 5,000 mAh – but the 45 watt Supervooc fast charging stands out, which is powerful for the segment. Oppo has saved on connectivity, since the A60 it is not capable of connecting to 5Gand on the cameras: technically there are two on the back, but next to the 50 MP main there is a 2 MP depth of field sensor, generally impalpable in practice.
As for software, the Trinity Engine of ColorOS 14 which is based on Android 14 offers a boost to overall fluidity and stability, “improving hardware computing resource planning through advanced computing power models”, explains the company. Elements which, combined with the very abundant memory provision for the category, the 8 GB of RAM and the 256 GB of storage, have allowed the Oppo A60 to pass the “48-Month Fluency Protection” test, “guaranteeing – assures Oppo – long-lasting fluidity for at least four years of regular use”.
Availability and price in Italy
Oppo A60 is immediately available for purchase on the Chinese company’s official online store, where it is offered at €199.99 list price.
