From the press office of the Liguria Region
There are 32 cultural and live entertainment initiatives supported by the Liguria Region with a total contribution of approximately 322 thousand 166 euros. Theaters, foundations, local authorities and associations involved in the creation of cultural events in the Ligurian territory benefit from the financing included in the 2024/2026 budget forecast. This is what was decided by the regional council on the proposal of the president of the Liguria region and councilor for culture.
“Culture in the Liguria Region is alive, widespread, structured and attractive in all its forms: this is demonstrated by the many events of all kinds which, from the West to the East, animate it throughout the year – declares the president of the Liguria Region and Councilor for Culture – For this reason, in addition to supporting large cultural entities, the Region is on the side of smaller but no less important entities, because they are the true cultural engine of Liguria. These realities need to be supported and valorised more and more, because they also play a social role: thanks to them, in fact, creative and innovative processes and practices are developed, social cohesion and participation are promoted and active citizenship is promoted. Some of the events we support have turned into economic drivers, opportunities for revitalization, discovery and regeneration of the territory through the participation of local communities. For this reason – concludes the president – our commitment to supporting our cultural realities will continue and increase. Culture is the basis of our society and a fundamental tool for the development and growth of our territory”.
