A strike is expected to start the week. The USB trade union organization of Friuli Venezia Giulia has communicated its participation in the 24-hour national strike of local public transport, called for Monday 6 May 2024. As regards the urban and extra-urban Tpl Fvg-Apt service Gorizia, Monfalcone and Gradothe mobilization will be held in compliance with the foreseen guarantee time slots: from 02:00 to 05:59, from 09:00 to 11.59, from 15:00 to 01:59 on 7 May.

Trips traveling at the time of the start of the strike will continue to the destination terminus. The ticket offices in Gorizia, Monfalcone and Grado will operate regularly. Absence from work of administrative personnel and fixed systems could occur for the entire tour of duty. The previous 24-hour strike called by the same trade union was that of 24 January 2024. The abstention of the traveling staff was equal to 45.2%.

Mobilization also on TV. The assembly of the editorial staff of the Tgr of Friuli Venezia Giulia endorses all the reasons that led to the Rai journalists’ strike called for May 6th. «It is absolutely urgent that the Company – reports a note from the meeting – reviews its strategy regarding the production of images for regional information. It is not acceptable that a company like Rai, the largest publishing company in the country and concessionaire of the public radio and television service, has substantially renounced the production of images with personnel, within the same company, adequately qualified and specifically appointed for this purpose”.

«The alternatives proposed and adopted so far are nothing more than a warm blanket. We need to find a practicable and agreed solution together, because Rai, and the Regional Offices specifically, cannot give up maintaining within themselves a fundamental capital of technique and experience. We strongly ask for the Company’s commitment to carry out a new public selection for journalists from the regional editorial offices, in order to fill the staffing gaps. With respect to our Friuli-Venezia Giulia editorial team, the Company continues to be in default of the agreements signed.”

“Finally, the Assembly reports and deplores the Company’s technological delays in guaranteeing a quality signal in the transmission of regional content on TV, radio (DAB) and the web” concludes the note.

From 9pm on Saturday 4 May to 8.59pm on Sunday 5 Mayinstead, a national strike is called by the staff of the FS Group, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper and Trenord proclaimed by the trade unions. Trains may be subject to changes or cancellations. The agitation may lead to changes to the service even before it begins and after its conclusion. Possible disruptions also announced by AcegasApsAmga in carrying out some services, including at the call center and customer counters. The company reminds you that the minimum services guaranteed by law will be guaranteed and that at the end of the strike services will return to normal operations.
