The jury of the prestigious Elsa Morante Award, chaired by Dacia Maraini It’s composed by: Marco Cerbo, Enzo Colimoro, Linen Pillow, David Morante, Tiuna Notarbartolo, Antonio Parlati, Fiorenza Sarzanini, Teresa Triscari, inaugurates from this year a section dedicated to graphic novels and the winner is a cartoonist who is a phenomenon in the sector: Fumettibrutti, the stage name of Josephine Yole Signorelli, who wrote the latest book with Francesco Piccolo “The separation of the male” (Feltrinelli ). Born in Catania in 1991, she has a large social following, six books published with Feltrinelli and has already won various awards. With the writer Francesco Piccolo you created “The Separation of the Male”, an itchy and provocative graphic novel in which a profound and audacious, highly successful novel becomes a comic. A journey of introspection on the themes of loyalty, love, family and social roles.
