Prestigious event at the Carabinieri School Command in Rome, where maestro Maria Ventre, originally from Caserta, directed, for the first time, the musical band of the Carabinieri with a repertoire of eight songs developed by her, taken from soundtracks and works of recognized musical value. An absolutely unique repertoire, created for solo viola and band. On the viola, Maestro Marco Traverso, teacher at the Conservatory of Caltanissetta. Maria Ventre, daughter of an artist whose father was a pianist, studied violin, viola and singing at the Conservatory “S. Pietro a Majella” of Naples.
“The theme “Violando” – explains Maestro Ventre – originates from the completion of the studies of “instrumentation for wind orchestra” which I carried out at the Pietro Majella Conservatory in Naples where I studied.
The theme “Violando” is particular and embodies a triad of values: the viola, protagonist of today’s concert; violence against women, a painfully topical issue that has filled the news in recent years; finally, female emancipation which has led women to reach apical goals unthinkable before the last century”. A new gem, therefore, will be added in the Caserta area, home of illustrious musicians such as Niccolò Iommelli, Domenico Cimarosa and Giuseppe Martucci, without forgetting, Alessandro Vessella, born in Alife on 31 March 1860 and transcriber of band music as well as a talented composer.
A fair and deserved goal for Maestro Ventre, therefore, made up of long studies and great sacrifices to which he has subjected himself for years and which in the end undoubtedly represent all his passion for music and his tenacity in achieving difficult but nevertheless achieved.
