In the night a Brugherio, in the province of Monza and Brianza, thieves blew up the post office in Piazza Giovanni XXIII. The explosion was so strong that it woke up the residents of the area around 2.30am and turned the entire office upside down: they went to shatter the windowsroof imploded inside, furniture and chairs thrown tens of meters.
In a short time, the Carabinieri from Brugherio and Monza arrived on site, with the scientific department and the firefighters. According to initial information, it would seem that the target of the criminals was ATM but they dosed the explosive mixture incorrectly, blowing everything up. Then they ran away.
The military immediately set about analyze explosive residues found at the scene. The images from the video surveillance cameras in the area will be fundamental for the police as they will allow them to identify the perpetrators. The vehicles used for the escape are also being searched.
