Beats Solo Buds offer 18 hours of audio at an affordable price

Alongside the Solo Beats 4, Beats also announces the availability of Solo Buds, new wireless earphones that promise – among others – autonomy of up to 18 hours. This is a welcome announcement, also because the Apple-owned audio brand has solid experience when it comes to wireless earphones.

Solo Buds aim to fill the gap in the company’s current offering, positioning itself as the brand’s economical choice. They will be sold for 80 dollars and they will allow you to reach 18 hours of battery life on a single charge.

The battery life is therefore excellent, even if the earphone case has no battery. In other words, unlike other competitors, the earphones do not recharge when not in use. The case, therefore, is essentially a dock and will charge the earphones only when it is in turn connected with a USB-C cable.

Fortunately, you won’t run the risk of running out of energy, because they support the technology Fast Fuel by Beats, which offers an hour of use in just five minutes of charging. The absence of integrated charging in the case also has its positive advantages: the case is significantly smaller since it does not contain a battery.

Inside the earphones house dual-layer transducers, designed to reduce distortion along the frequency curve which should lead to greater “uncompromising clarity and detail,” according to Beats.

The company has also given importance to calls, which are described as “exceptional”, thanks to the combination of a custom-designed microphone and a noise learning algorithm, which is also present on the new Solo Beats 4.

The earphones offer customizable integrated controls, allowing you to choose whether to control music, call and voice assistance functions. Beats also includes the option for volume control on these Solo Buds, activated with an optional long press.Beats announces Solo Buds, the economical earphones with 18 hours of battery life

Not just for Apple users

As per tradition, the Beats brand also satisfies Android users. Only Buds, in fact, they are natively compatible with both iOS and Androidoffering one-touch pairing, automatic setup, and support for Google Find My and Find My Device.

Unlike the iPhone, which has built-in iOS support, the Android users will have to install a standalone app to take full advantage of the headphonesthus being able to access functions such as customizing the integrated controls.

Beats Solo Buds, price and availability

The Solo Buds will be available in June in black, gray, purple and transparent red color options for $80. If you don’t want to wait for June and are looking for a pair of over the ear headphones, Beats Solo 4 are already available on the Apple website for 229.95 euros, in black, pink and blue.
