Meeting on cyberbullying and digital addiction

On Saturday 11 May 2024 at 10.30 am in the Cinema Nello Santi room, at the De Laugier cultural center in Portoferraio, a public meeting will be held with Ettore Guarnaccia Risk Manager, blogger, essayist, expert in Cybersecurity and ICT, author of the books “La silent tragedy” and “Generation Z”.

This is an awareness meeting on the topics of digital addiction, cyberbullyism and education on the safe use of social media.

Through voluntary work in recent years, the speaker has met thousands of children, adolescents and adults in numerous events, collaborating with schools and associations.

In his educational work he adopts an approach based purely on the explanation of the mechanisms that hide behind the functions of social media and digital devices and the effects that these have on modern society and on new generations. Important and often underestimated issues that can have a devastating impact on new generations.

The meeting was organized by a group of parents and teachers from the Giovanni Pascoli middle school in Portoferraio with the patronage of the Municipality of Portoferraio. Participation is open to all students, teachers, parents and anyone interested. Entrance is free.
