Diocese: Ferrara, Holy Family Youth Group team wins 5-a-side football tournament “Parish Cup”

On Thursday 25 April, the second edition of the 5-a-side football tournament “Parish Cup” took place in Ferrara, on the sports field of the parish of the Holy Family, won by the youth group of the Holy Family who beat Perpetuo Soccorso 7- 5 in the final. The tournament represents the culmination of a series of meetings that take place throughout the year to make football an instrument of union in an open oratory project, offering a day to be lived in friendship and brotherhood, with also a final refreshment, as an example of Outgoing Church. After the initial moment of prayer, the tournament saw the draw to divide the following teams into 2 groups: Very young group from the parish of Sant’Agostino, parish of Perpetuo Soccorso, Youth group from the parish of Sant’Agostino, Immacolata, San Martino , Comacchio, Youth Group and Very Young Group of the Holy Family. From the groups, the teams qualified for the two semi-finals were identified, which saw the Giovani della Sacra Famiglia beat the Giovanissimi di Sant’Agostino 2-1 and Perpetuo Soccorso beat the Giovani di Sant’Agostino 1-0, while in the final the Giovani della Sacra defeated Perpetuo Soccorso 7-5 to win the tournament. The winning team of the tournament also received the prizes for best scorer, given to Rambaldi (9 goals), and that of MVP of the tournament, awarded to Mouafo Dylan. The parish of the Immaculate received the award for the best fan base.
