The public notice for the carrying out of active defense activities against fires, prevention, 24-hour surveillance and first fire intervention for the protection of the entire territory of the Lama Balice Regional Natural Park for the period is online on the institutional website of the Municipality of Bari. which runs from 15 June to 15 September 2024. The call is aimed at voluntary associations or groups of non-profit associations registered in the regional Civil Protection list that have at least 10 volunteers in possession of health certifications of physical fitness and certificates training courses required to carry out the activities and have a vehicle equipped with a water reserve with a minimum capacity of 400 litres, approved for civil protection/fire prevention use, as well as radio equipment, suitable blowers, fireproof suits and any other necessary equipment for emergency services.
The selected individual will be recognized with a maximum all-inclusive contribution of 38,000 euros for the activities to be carried out, subject to any advance payments or extensions, also including the costs relating to the prescribed insurance coverage. The activities covered by the tender concern everything related to the prevention and repression of fires in the area of the Lama Balice Regional Natural Park, falling entirely within the territories of the Municipalities of Bari and Bitonto, for a total area of approximately 495 hectares, with a prevention – 24 hour surveillance – first intervention. The Park, through the Municipality of Bari (lead body), reserves the right not to proceed with the assignment of the activities without the identified subject and the other participants having to claim any reimbursement and/or compensation.
The Park will stipulate an agreement with the successful association that establishes the general terms of the collaboration, which the services must scrupulously comply with; the stipulation of the agreement will be finalized once the expenditure foreseen for the contribution has been committed. The request for participation must be received, under penalty of exclusion, by 5pm on June 4th, exclusively by hand to the Municipality of Bari – Environment Protection, Health and Hygiene Division – via Marchese di Montrone, 5 – CAP 70122 Bari, in a sealed envelope bearing the words “Expression of interest in carrying out the AiB 2024 activities in the Lama Balice Regional Natural Park”. The procedure is carried out by the offices of the Municipality of Bari pursuant to the administrative functions assigned to it pursuant to the agreement stipulated between the Municipality of Bari (leader), the Municipality of Bitonto and the Metropolitan City of Bari for the management of the park.
