Having learned the news of the unexpected death of the engineer. Gianpiero Benedetti, I would like to express my most sincere condolences, my own and that of the entire Archdiocese of Udine, to the family members and all the employees of the Danieli company, which the engineer. Benedetti led with great entrepreneurial intelligence. I am also close to the employees and collaborators of the MediaFriuli Group, of which Eng. Benedetti was the majority shareholder of Confindustria Udine, which he chaired.
I address a grateful memory to Eng. Blessed also for his repeated support offered for the restoration and conservation of numerous cultural assets of the ecclesiastical heritage, from which the entire civil society has benefited. In this he was a generous and enlightened patron.
Personally, I cherish the memory of the many occasions of meeting with him, always animated by sincere and mutual respect and the sharing of fundamental values to be transmitted to Friuli and to future generations.
I continue to be close to him with my prayers and I renew my condolences to his family.
