The green and whites, who even needed a draw to secure their place in the promotion play-offs, ended their first year in group B of the A2 Elite series with a defeat. A knockout, the ninth of the season, which came at the end of a generous match, but which saw the Giovinazzo players leave the field defeated, causing the play-off dream to fade in the photo finish, in which the team will instead participate Lazio C5which arrived on equal points with the Defender Giovinazzo C5 e rewarded only by goal difference.
The Apulians, therefore, ended the season in sixth place in the standings with 10 wins, 5 draws and 9 defeats, 83 goals scored and 82 conceded. Best scorer, with 23 goals, Silon Junior. Followed by Dibenedetto (12) and Menini (9).
Mittelman’s Melilli starts with Dovara, Vega, Spampinato, Ique and Gianino, while Bernardo, without Montelli, replies with Di Capua, Piscitelli, Dibenedetto, Silon Junior and Fanfulla. The first two minutes are to be forgotten for the guests who go two goals down: first with Gianino for 1-0 and then with Spampino for 2-0. Fanfulla hits the crossbar, then it’s over Roselliserved by Fermino, to make it 2-1, in the 13th minute.
Just enough time to rejoice and, a minute later, Spampinato offers a Fail the 3-1 ball.
