POVOLETTO (UDINE). In the morning, a road accident affected the center of Povoletto, precisely at the intersection between Via Dante and Via Vittorio Veneto, near Piazza Largo Monsignor Luigi Cicuttini. The accident, which occurred today, Saturday 27 April 2024, around 11.30 am, involved two cars, a Ford Fusion and a Volkswagen Golf.
Dynamics of the accident
According to initial reconstructions, the two cars collided while traveling through the intersection, known for being one of the busiest in the area. The exact details of the dynamics are still being investigated by the competent authorities. Fortunately, the impact did not cause serious physical harm to the drivers or passers-by.
Rescue intervention
The firefighters intervened promptly to secure the area and manage traffictemporarily compromised by the accident. An ambulance was also sent to the site, e the drivers of the two cars were taken care of by healthcare personnel. Both were transported to the nearest hospital for checks, but, fortunately, they did not have serious injuries.
Traffic remained slow as rescue teams worked to remove vehicles and restore normal traffic.
