Manuel Sturino, head of the detachment for some time, comes to the end of his mandate, passing the baton to Giancarlo Zerbini. During his mandate, Sturino faced impressive challenges, from managing the global emergency of the pandemic to forest fires, from heavy snowfall to serious territorial emergencies such as the Tuscan-Romagna flood and the earthquake, managing over 300 urgent technical interventions.
The Marradi firefighters express profound gratitude for the work carried out by Sturino, recognizing his commitment and dedication in particularly complex years. “For this commitment and dedication we thank him for having undertaken the role of Head of Detachment in these difficult years”, they say with gratitude.
With the arrival of Giancarlo Zerbini, the firefighters wish the new detachment chief success, underlining the importance of his role in a period of growing needs for the territory. At the same time, a staff search is announced to expand the workforce, highlighting the ongoing need to strengthen the team in response to the needs of the community.
These changes represent a crucial moment for the detachment, which continues to provide security and support to the citizens of Marradi and surrounding areas, demonstrating the vitality and adaptability of these everyday heroes.
