This was stated by the extraordinary commissioner of the Messina ASP Giuseppe Cucci who joins in the family’s pain and congratulates the team coordinated by Dr. Giuseppe Bova who performed the operation, after the medical commission had verified the irreversibility of brain functions.
“After the declaration of death – continues Cuccì –the complex machine for organ removal operations (heart, liver, kidneys and corneas) was set in motion which made it possible to save the lives of people, including a little girl in Turin and other patients at Ismett and Civic of Palermo”.
