Chiara Consonni won the Liberation Grand Prixa traditional cycling race that takes place on April 25th at the circuit of the Baths of Caracalla in Rome. The six kilometer round to be covered sixteen times made the selection and the decisive action materialized halfway through the race, when the 24-year-old from Bergamo attacked together with her teammates Silvia Persico, Eleonora Camilla Gasparrini and Federica Venturellias well as Giada Borghesi (BTC City Ljubljana Zhiraf Ambedo) and Elisa Valtulini (Bepink-Bongioanni).
Followed by further skimming and so on trio of UAE Team ADQ literally reached the finish line on parade. Consonni just ahead of Persico and Gasparrini, all three rejoicing in front of the capital’s crowd. Venturelli and Borghesi are one minute behind.
It’s about the first seasonal success for the Italian, who in 2023 won the third stage and final classification of the Tour of Chongming Island (World Tour event), as well as laying down the law in the ninth stage of the Giro d’Italia.
