Sara Torrisi18 years old, student of the Deledda Linguistic High School in Genoa, won the final of the Genvision XX24 talent show at the Genoa Stadium, the singing challenge between the secondary schools of Liguria, now in its seventh edition.

Sara enchanted the audience in the arena with the cover of “We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off” by Jermaine Stewart in Ella Eyre’s version. The first place, in addition to the title of winner of Genvision XX24, was awarded a study holiday offered by Kaplan International Languages ​​to improve their language skills.

“A great emotion, I am speechless with emotion – says Sara Torrisi after the award ceremony – Singing is my greatest passion, I have always done it and since last September I also started taking singing lessons to pursue my dream in even more concrete way. Among my most inspiring artists is Shawn Mendes.” The young singer from Liceo Deledda also won the Recording Award, given to her by the record label Pioggia Rossa Dischi, which will give her the opportunity to perform at the opening of a national summer festival.

The talents of Genvision XX24 were judged by the technical jury, the social jury, the press jury and the audience present in the room and connected in streaming via televoting.

The 14 schools that reached the final and participated in the evening were the Cassini Scientific High School, the Martin Luther King Classical Scientific Sports Institute, the Enrico Fermi Scientific High School, the Andrea D’Oria Classical High School, the Cristoforo Colombo State Classical and Linguistic High School , the Italo Calvino Institute, the Sandro Pertini High School and the Grazia Deledda Linguistic High School in Genoa; the Vallescriva Omnicomprehensive Institute of Ronco Scrivia (GE); the Emanuele Luzzati Artistic High School and the Da Vigo Nicoloso Scientific Linguistic High School in Chiavari (GE); the Chiabrera Martini High School and the Giuliano della Rovere High School in Savona and the Giordano Bruno High School in Albenga (SV).
