ITRI – On the evening of 23 April 2024, in the Municipality of Itri, on the SS 7 Appia state road, in the railway section bridge area in the jurisdiction of the Carabinieri Company of Formia, a road accident with injuries occurred between a Renault Clio driven by a man from Gaeta cl. 2005 and a Lancia Musa driven by an Albanian man cl. 79, resident in Itri.
Rescue was prompt, four people were transported to the hospitals of Formia and Terracina, all classified as code green, i.e. minor injuries. On site for the surveys the soldiers of the Itri Station Command assisted by personnel from the Fire Brigade and the Carabinieri of the Tenenza of Gaeta, for the viability given that the road traffic of the section under investigation was interrupted until 01:00 today, creating inconvenience for road users.
Following the investigations carried out and the restoration of traffic, the Arma personnel promptly requested the necessary investigations to verify the possible state of alcoholic intoxication or psychophysical alteration resulting from the intake of narcotic substances of the relevant drivers of the vehicles involved.
