A woman is dead and a man is seriously injured in Reggio Calabria following an accident between a car and a motorbike near Bocale
REGGIO CALABRIA – Liberation Day marred by a dramatic accident in Reggio Calabria where around 10 am along the SS106 near Bocale a 76 year old woman from Bocale lost her life while a man is hospitalized in very serious conditions following of the impact between a car and a motorbike.
The accident in fact occurred between a motorbike and a car driven by the elderly lady who died as a result of the impact while the man, who was on board the motorbike, is in serious condition in intensive care at the Gom (Great metropolitan hospital) of Reggio Calabria. In addition to immediate rescue, the traffic police also intervened on site.
The stretch of State Road 106 affected by the accident was closed not only to carry out investigations and understand the dynamics of the terrible impact but also for the operations to extract the elderly lady’s body from her off-road vehicle. Obviously the repercussions on vehicular traffic on a public holiday and dedicated to out-of-town trips like this one on Liberation Day are very serious.
