Forlì, 25th April 2024 – Arrested for the third time in three months is always for stalking and threats to his ex-girlfriend. An obsession that now costs the man house arrest electronic bracelet to monitor his movements.
The protagonist of the story is a man resident in Forlì with Albanian origins, who has never resigned himself to the end of history; a jealousy which dragged the existence of the woman into terror, of whom the ex-boyfriend controlled – according to the accusation made by the police and accepted by the judge – in a “total manner” every situation of the daily dynamics.
The first arrest was in Januaryin ‘deferred flagrance’, after the woman, threatened “for the umpteenth time with death”, asked for the intervention of the agents, with the activation of the code red, i.e. a fast and preferential lane for complaints regarding cases of violence. During the investigation, detectives found messages on the victim’s phone with “death threats expressed, reiterated and of increasing intensity”. After a period of detention, and awaiting trial, the man had been released from prison and subjected “to no approach to the places frequented by the victim”.
The investigators, however, sensing that the man might not comply with the requirements, followed him in his movements, collecting in the meantime the statements of the victim who, increasingly afraid, reported seeing the man “hanging around his place of work”. A few days later an off-duty detective noticed the stalker wandering around again near the place where the victim works: the man was thus arrested again in the act. So, dafter a second release from prison, the man repeatedly violated the established prohibitions. The judge then ordered house arrest, with the application of an electronic bracelet to monitor his movements.
