The San Giorgio D’Oro was awarded to the memory of Prof. Enrico Costa

The City of Reggio Calabria represented by the mayor Giuseppe Falcomatà awarded in memory of Prof. Enrico Costa the
SAN GIORGIO D’ORO with the following motivation:
Professor emeritus of the Mediterranean University,
in which he began his career in the academic year 1976-1977 until he became Professor of Urban Planning. He has held various positions,
including those dearest to him as coordinator of the Degree Course in Urban Planning and
to PhD. A multifaceted intellectual personality of great charisma, he was a protagonist of university life and also played an important role in public life. He has many publications on topics relating to the city with an innovative and stimulating approach for his students. Teacher who loved Reggio and his University, to which he dedicated time, study and research, with sincere affection and love for this land.

To collect for the prof. COSTA the recognition was a representation of Cestec (Enrico Costa study center) two of his great students, Beniamino Cordova and Federico Curatola.
