The Goebbels government. Thirty hours of death and lies is the title of the book by Giovanni Mari which is presented Tuesday 7 May 2024, at 5.30 pm at Historic Center PD Clubin via delle Vigne 14. The journalist Donatella will speak together with the author AlfonsoSimon D’Angelo provincial secretary PD Genoa and Mario Margins, Diesse Foundation. The meeting is promoted by the Diesse Foundation and the Democratic Party Circolo Centro Storico.
The book. Thirty hours are what Joseph Goebbels has available to govern. Adolf Hitler killed himself at 3.30 pm on 30 April 1945, but the scepter did not immediately pass into the hands of Grand Admiral Dönitz, who would then seal the surrender of the Nazis. The new chancellor is Joseph Goebbels, who despite being surrounded by enemy tanks, does not give up managing his hallucinated government made up of propaganda, lies and a culture of death. Thirty hours in which he will try to cut off the legs of the fleeing hierarchs and maneuver Dönitz with contradictory messages, finally trying to negotiate, without success, with the hated Bolsheviks. Then he will kill himself and his wife, after killing his six children.
