A symbolism that in the opinion of Massimo Moratti should be further increased, virtually to two and a half stars, given that the Milanese club would lack other championships. The former president of Inter responds like this when asked what he thinks of the fact that AC Milan and Juventus have 19 national titles and not 20, not considering the one assigned by default in 2006 due to the events of Calciopoli: “I say that without everything we know we would already be at 25“, reverses Moratti’s reasoning.
The 78-year-old oilman clearly feels an important part of the goal achieved, given that under his management – which lasted 18 years, from 1995 to 2013 – Inter won five scudetti, as well as many other trophies including the Champions League treble: “Being a sum of championships, I’m happy to have contributed“, he tells Gazzetta dello Sport. An even more important contribution is that of the Moratti family, if we also consider father Angelo’s three championships in the 1960s: in total, therefore, 8 out of 20 were brought to the cause by the Morattis.

The former Nerazzurri number one has no doubts when asked who he is the man who symbolizes this championship: “Stretcher.
