European, national and regional policies dictate the Road map on the subject of climate change mitigation to be implemented at all territorial levels to achieve the objective of carbon neutrality by 2050.

The monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions (released into the environment and absorbed: inventory of greenhouse gas emissions) represents a fundamental tool for having a constantly updated reference framework in order to identify the actions necessary to achieve the main objective in this regard, highlighted above.

In this context, theEnergy Observatory he developed theupdate to 2021 of the inventory of greenhouse gas emissions according to the methodology IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).

In the year In 2021, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, net of absorption, amounted to 39,549 kt of CO2eq. There is therefore an increase of 6% compared to the year 2020, the trend of which was conditioned by the Covid-19 pandemic, but a trend in reduction compared to 2019 equal to 5% he was born in 5.5% compared to 1990.
