Ten people lost their lives this morning, Tuesday 23 April, due to one clash between two helicopters soldiers in the sky of Malaysia. The aircraft were practicing for a celebratory parade and something went wrong. The identification of the victims, all under 40, is awaited.
Collision between helicopters, what happened
The two helicopter gunships were practicing for the Navy’s 90th anniversary celebration, but they got too close and their propellers caused a deadly spiral for the 10 people who were on board, all part of the flight crew (7 on the first aircraft and the other 3 on the second, each under the age of 40).
The video that captured the accident and the images of rescuers desperately trying to understand if anyone survived among the helicopters reduced to rubble are shocking. «All victims were confirmed dead at the scene and sent to Lumut Naval Base Military Hospital for treatment.identification», the local police forces declared. As for the helicopters, they were a Fennec model and an AW139. The first fell into a swimming pool, while the other fell onto a sports complex on the naval base.
