The Palatino d’Oro Award goes to the ice cream maker Emanuele Alvaro. He won with the milk chocolate from Centrale di Roma

Emanuele Alvaro won the «Premio Palatino d’Oro», a competition organized by the Italian Ice Cream Makers Association (Aig) held at the headquarters of the Rome Milk Plant, in which the best Italian ice cream parlors participated. The winner of the first prize automatically enters the final phase of the competition Italian Ice Cream Cuporganized in November in Rome by the Italian Ice Cream Makers Association.

The event – a note informs – was born from the desire to celebrate the tradition culinary based on fresh milk produced and distributed by the Centrale, and consolidates the link with i consumers of today and tomorrow. The competing ice cream makers challenged each other to prepare the best chocolate ice creamusing Centrale’s milk and fresh cream as a preparatory base.

The jury

Judging the preparations, a jury of experts composed of: Mario Seranivice president and ambassador of Italian ice cream in the world, Saverio Tronconeteacher at the Centrale del Latte in Rome, Nicodemus Rosaryambassador of Italian ice cream in the world and 2024 world ice cream champion, Ciro ChiummoWorld Pastry Champion, Eugenio Morrone, ambassador of Italian ice cream in the world and world champion of ice cream making. «By hosting – comments the president of the Centrale del latte di Roma, Fabio Massimo Pallottini – the competition of the Italian Association of ice cream makers, the Centrale del Latte di Roma confirms its commitment to supporting the artisanal ice cream sector and to the valorisation of our artisan talents”.
