With 18 votes in favor (majority) and 12 against it was approved Bill 176: “Change to the budget forecast of the Liguria Region for the financial years 2024 – 2026”.

The measure comes into play following the results of the quarterly monitoring, which recorded an imbalanced situation in the healthcare companies. The overall measure amounts to 63.6 million euros. 63 million and 603 thousand euros are allocated to the “Regional Health Service – settlement of health deficits relating to previous years”; Furthermore, 10 million euros are allocated for investments by healthcare companies for 2024; the debt authorized to cover previous investments is restructured (+2.3 million for the 2024 financial year.

Another 8.5 million euros contribute to covering health deficits from collections for arrears including IRAP (3.6 million) and additional Irpef (4 million and 300 thousand euros) and 35 million euros from regional discretionary funds already allocated to health (“Regional health service – current ordinary financing for the guarantee of LEAs”); 1.4 million euros from savings on co-financing of community programs for the period 2014 – 2020; 10 million euros from co-financing of 2021–2027 community programs currently not committed and subject to reprogramming; 5.9 million euros from savings on debt charges following the failure to contract mortgages.
