Director Pierluigi Di Lallo, originally from Rocca San Giovanni, was awarded in Rome with the Cartagine 2.0. “The Prize – states the Academy’s statute – is intended for those who have contributed, in Italy and abroad, to the development and diffusion of culture and knowledge in various sectors, in the supreme interest of the elevation and progress of peoples, the well-being of humanity, the search for truth, of freedom, justice and peaceessential prerequisites of universal brotherhood”.

All the personalities awarded the Carthage Prize year after year are included in the Academy’s Roll of Honor, and assume the status of “Academics” members of the corporate body of the Academic Senate (body responsible for approving the awarding of the prize).

This is the reason for the recognition for Di Lallo: “By virtue of merits acquired in the cinematographic sphere, Pierluigi Di Lallo stands out for his eclecticism: actor, screenwriter and director, he has ranged from theater to cinema and television. Gifted with an uncommon artistic sensitivity, Di Lallo he has always successfully ventured into different genres of representation ranging from drama to comedy.

Even in the topics addressed, his skills emerge acute observer of today’s society, managing to touch and make the spectator’s chords vibrate who is called to reflect on the socio-existential problems of the Third Millennium.
