An explosion hit the Kalso military base about 50 kilometers south of Baghdad in Iraq on the evening of Friday 19 April. Two sources from the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) said that it was an air attack. “The explosion caused material damage and injuries,” the army said in a statement. The US denial

For his part, a military officer reported three wounded among Iraqi army personnel. “There were explosions in the warehouses that house the equipment due to the bombing,” the official said, speaking to AFP. “A fire is still devastating some areas and the search for the injured continues.” The attack targeted the Hachd al-Chaabi Armored Vehicle Directorate. “The explosion hit equipment, weapons, vehicles,” he said.
