Gas pipes, rain of construction sites in Mira since May

The gas network replacement plan for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026 is ready

2iRete Gas will take care of it, which in recent years had already replaced numerous sections of old pipelines in various areas of the municipal area of ​​Mira, such as in Mira Taglio, Mira Vecchia, Oriago and Piazza Vecchia. The new plan includes interventions on a total of 8 km of roads. For 2024, the excavation, replacement of the existing network and construction of new connections to homes will begin between May June 2024 and end in November 2024. The final asphalting with resurfacing of the horizontal signs will be carried out 6/8 months after the completion of the works, presumably towards the beginning of summer 2025.

“Planning – explains the councilor for Public Works Stefano Lorenzin – was necessary in order to avoid the close overlapping of asphalt surfaces, optimizing the use of public resources. The works will be carried out, as far as possible, with alternating one-way streets and in steps, so as to always guarantee accessibility to the frontists. In any case, residents will be notified with specific orders well in advance of the start of the works in order to minimize inconvenience. Thanks to these interventions, many roads in the Municipality will be restored to new condition. We will hold targeted meetings with residents to dispel doubts and perplexities.”

The streets affected for 2024 will be: via Mazzini, Toti, Dante Alighieri, Pavese, Damiano Chiesa, Mion, Garibaldi. Livorno – Asti, Albinoni. “Regarding the Mira Porte flyover – recalls councilor Lorenzin – above which a temporary gas pipe has been positioned, the definitive laying of the pipeline close to the bridge is expected in April 2024. The asphalting works of the entire overpass and the creation of a safe pedestrian path will follow on the east ramp, as foreseen by an intervention that the administration obtained to be financed by Pnrr”.

In the coming years other streets will be affected, such as: via Miglioli, Fratelli Bandiera, Oberdan, Gramsci, Parini, Carducci, Curiel, Fasolato, Agnoletto Pellico, vicolo Bergamo. And then: via Bologna, Modena, Parma, Granzo, Antonio Vivaldi, Benedetto Marcello, Monte Venda, Mameli, Foscolo, Segheria, Naritti, Verga, Alfieri, Monte Sommo, Monte Bivere, Oriago Monte Fumo station, Marche. In short, Mira will be a real open construction site and obviously in cases like these the inconveniences will be inevitable for citizens in terms of slowdowns and traffic.
