The Mayor of Bordighera yesterday at the G20s Destination Summit of the Marine Communities of Caorle – Sanremonews.it

The Mayor of Bordighera, Vittorio Ingenito, took part yesterday in the G20s Destination Summit of the Marine Communities of Caorle, to present ‘Bordighera en plein air – Outdoor cultural experiences between villas, gardens and Monet’.

The project was in fact recognized as a ‘virtuous case history’ and was included in the program of the working table ‘Not just the sea: development of cultural products and experiences’ together with seven other Italian municipalities.

The G20s Destination Summit of Marine Communities, scheduled for Wednesday, has now reached its seventh edition and involves Italian coastal municipalities, representatives of the most important European seaside destinations overlooking the Mediterranean and experts from the national and international market in an opportunity for discussion on innovative strategies and models for the development of marine tourism.

The 2024 theme is ‘Maris Futuri: designing complexity’, with a focus on mobility and infrastructure, tourism product development, coastal protection and governance for a sustainable future.

“It is an honor that ‘Bordighera en plein air’ – comments the mayor – the outdoor cultural and experiential tourism product we are working on can be shared with such an important audience. It is further confirmation that the 2021-2030 Strategic Plan is guiding us on an effective growth path, shared with the Tourism Roundtable”.
