Double accident in a few hours on the Bitritto ring road and on the provincial road between Molfetta and Terlizzi. The first episode, the one that caused the most concern, occurred around 11pm on Wednesday evening in Bitritto, in the direction of Sannicandro di Bari: two car involved, one of which resulted overturned following the impact, which occurred due to causes being ascertained by the police. The fire brigade rescuers, who arrived with a team, immediately proceeded to extract the victim from the overturned car, a Renault Clio (the other is a Volkswagen Polo, whose driver was unharmed), from the wreckage, ensuring the necessary operations rescue and stabilization before handing him over to the 118 personnel who responded to the scene with an ambulance: the driver did not even suffer a scratch.
The second accident
Another accident involving two cars occurred on the provincial road 112, between Terlizzi and Molfetta, around midnight: in this case four people were injured. The two cars, a Fiat Punto and a Fiat Multipla, were proceeding along the arterial road, when in circumstances yet to be clarified, they collided in the center of the road. The impact was almost head-on, particularly violent: the two cars collided on their respective front bonnets. Four injured in total: the most serious was taken to the Bari Polyclinic; However, the conditions of the other three injured people, who were transported to the emergency room of the Don Tonino Bello hospital in Molfetta for checks, are less worrying. The police intervened to investigate.
