Volkswagen Golf 2024, sensational launch price in Spain: what will happen in Italy?

Last January Volkswagen officially presented the new Golf 2024, a restyling of a historic model which last March 29th blew out 50 candles. We still don’t know how much the updated variant will cost in Italy, but the Spanish price list makes you want to leave immediately for the dealer closest to the border…

The Volkswagen Spain Media Center has announced that the new Golf with 85 kW/115 hp 1.5 TSI engine is available in the country starting from 25,480 euros, in the MÀS version (which should be our Edition Plus, which saves up to 5,800 euros) from 27,960 euros with a rather rich content package. Which seem sensationally lower than ours, in fact in Italy a Golf 8 still starts at 29,600 euros, but there is a reason…

The offer is valid with MyWay package, a 5-year contract offering flexible mileage from 10,000 km per year. At the end of the contract, the user can change the car by renewing the contract, return it or keep it, paying the minimum guaranteed value. This is not a rental as maintenance and insurance are the responsibility of the customer, unless you pay an optional extra.

Looking at the official price list, new Golf 2024 1.5 TSI 115 HP starts from 27,850 euros in Spain, so we still have a lower figure than the Italian one (relating among other things to the Golf 8 with 1.0 engine, so let’s hope that Volkswagen will adjust prices downwards here too with the new edition). For the record, the new Golf is offered – again in Spain – with a 1.5 eTSI 115 HP DSG-7 engine starting from 29,560 euros, alongside the variants of the 50th Anniversarystarting from 35,785.

Also on the list is the Variant version, with Station Wagon bodywork: in this case prices start from 29,130 ​​euros for the thermal version and 30,975 euros for the hybrid. At the top of the range is the Variant Style 1.5 eTSI 150 HP DSG-7 at 38,210 euros, the most expensive model in the 2024 price list in Spain among those available at launch. Now we just have to wait for the Italian prices.
