Eleven investigated el’autopsy to shed light on the death of Monica Bongallinothe young one pizza chef 32 years old Ginosain the province of Tarantostrangled by a illness suddenly on the eve of Easter. These are the developments of the investigation opened by the Taranto prosecutor’s office into the tragedy that shocked the Gino community, where Monica was well known and loved. Tomorrow the prosecutor Marza Castiglia will proceed with the autopsy to clarify the causes of Monica’s dramatic death. And she entered in the register of suspects, as a necessary act, the names of the doctors who intervened in the rescue phases to try to save the girl from death.

The drama

The prosecutor’s investigation began after the complaint from the young woman’s family who are assisted by the lawyer Raffaele Errico. It all started when Monica went to a healthcare facility to perform a spirometry. During that routine examination, the girl felt unwell, accompanied by retching. She was rescued and visited. A 118 ambulance arrived on site. After an initial visit it was decided to take the patient to the San Pio hospital in Castellaneta.

During the journey, however, Monica’s condition worsened. In fact, the ambulance was instructed to continue to the Santissima Annunziata hospital where the girl arrived in critical condition. The doctors in the intensive care unit did everything possible to save her from death, while all of Ginosa gathered in prayer, invoking her miracle for her young daughter. That miracle, unfortunately, did not arrive. Monica’s heart stopped beating late on the Wednesday evening before Easter.
