In the evocative setting of the Sala Vivarini in Zumpano, a literary event was held destined to leave an indelible mark in the hearts of all participants
The Istituto Comprensivo Rende – Commenda Plesso Zumpano brilliantly organized the meeting, with the precious patronage of the Municipality of Zumpano.
Under the aegis and institutional greetings of the lawyer. Fabrizio Fabiano, Mayor of Zumpano, the event saw the decisive collaboration of the Municipality’s School Councilor, Ernestina Amantea. The day was masterfully directed by teacher Pasqua Terrone, as moderator of the meeting.
The fulcrum of the day was the meeting with the talented writer Carla Monia Varisano, author of the book “Sensibilità Maldestra”, published by Aletti Editore and introduced by the preface by Alessandro Quasimodo. The author expertly guided the young audience through the exciting pages of her novel, providing food for thought and intense emotions.
Active participants in the event were the students of the Zumpano middle school, together with the students of the third, fourth and fifth classes of the Zumpano Elementary School. With curiosity and interest, they followed the presentation of the book and had the opportunity to ask the author questions, thus enriching their understanding of the text and opening new reading perspectives.
The meeting proved to be a triumph of cultural sharing and passion for literature, demonstrating how reading can transform anyone into a true “reader in the making”. The art of writing and storytelling continues to be a beacon of light for anyone with the desire to explore fantasy worlds and enrich themselves spiritually through the pages of a book.
With the promise of new literary encounters that will further enrich the culture and passion of the very young students, the “Readers we become” event ended leaving an indelible emotion in the hearts of all participants and the awareness that reading is a gift precious to cultivate with passion and commitment.
