Last Saturday 13 April the winners of the 28th Vinitaly Design, as part of the dedicated gala event with presentation of the trophies at the Teatro Ristori in Verona. Among the 44 companies finalists in the competition design and packaging organized by Veronafiere, the Komjanc Alessio company from Giasbana (San Floriano del Collio) was awarded the Gold Trophy in the “Series Wine” category for graphic project “Wein Secession”, the new wine packaging created for a distinctive imagea, more current and modern, but always in tune with the company’s identity.

Davide Bevilacqua of the Mumble Design agency Cormons designed and created the style graphics together with his team Viennese Secession, through a creative process with the roots in the “Wiener Secession” and the gaze towards the new and the world. The company boasts a long family winemaking history that successfully spans three centuries. In the seventies, Alessio Komjanc creates his new company in Giasbana and in 2000 further impetus is given by the definitive entry of his four children: Benjamin, Roberto, Patrick and Ivan. With the recent renewal of the image the aim was to give new visibility to the company, adapting to changes in the market.

Last February, the secessionist style graphic project was officially presented to journalists and industry experts: a renewed look but faithful to the past and tradition of these borderlands, which brings the Komjanc to also stand out for its brand image, as well as for the quality and excellence of the wines always awarded by the best Guides. To evaluate and judge i projects from the bottle to the closure, from the capsule to the label and back label, down to seals and secondary packaging, was a jury made up of 20 experts, led by the artistic director of Vinitaly Design Award, Mario Di Paolo. These days the Komjanc company is present with its wines at Vinitaly in pavilion 6, stand 10, within the Collio area.
