Regionals – Varese wins in U18 and triumphs in U15! For Bosto defeat and draw

Another batch of recoveries for regional youth football which saw Varese and Bosto busy on two fronts: double joy for the red and white (and what joy for the U15s!), bittersweet results for the yellow and blues. Let’s relive what happened between Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th April.

Bosto – Grandate 1-3

In injury time on the 28th matchday, Bosto falls at home to Grandate by 1-3. The yellow-blues therefore remain at 24: Pascarella tries but it’s not enough, because the guests have the upper hand, finding a way to overcome Palmieri three times with Frigerio, Pecovela and Rizzi.

Cassina Rizzardi – City of Varese 2-3

In the recovery of the 21st matchday, Varese achieved a very important success against the league leaders Cassina Rizzardi which brought the red and whites closer to third place (-1 from Ardita Cittadella). Fireworks match by Ponti’s boys who overcame Hasani’s initial deficit with Lacerenza’s penalty; in the second half there was another back and forth between Lacerenza and Hasani, but in the final it was the wild red and white who won the applause with the hat-trick which was worth the three points.

Bosto – Mazzo80 0-0

In the recovery of the 20th day, Bosto gives Città di Varese the mathematical victory of the championship: the final 0-0 with Mazzo80 (who remain -11 from the top with three days to go) establishes the red and white triumph which thus crowns “the box” an amazing season (there will be time for the big party). The yellow-blues, fighting to avoid the playouts, put out a really strong performance and snatched an important point which brings them -1 from Villa Cortese; and, paradoxically, there cannot be a hint of regret because Bosto would have richly deserved the victory. Among other things, Villa Cortese will receive Varese on Sunday and Bosto (who takes the opportunity to compliment their red and white “cousins”), busy at home with Gavirate, expects the favor to be returned.
