The judicial police officers of the Paola police station, under the supervision of Elga Rossignuoloare currently investigating the hypothesis of a fault in the carousel’s safety system to clarify the accident that occurred at the Luna Park set up in Paola on the occasion of the Patronal Festival of last May 4th, in which a sixteen-year-old was thrown from the attraction she was riding, close to tragedy. The carousel is still under seizure, as decided by the Paola Prosecutor’s Office, and the red and white ribbons will remain to delimit its perimeter until the end of the investigations.

The Forensic Police conducted further research at the accident site and questioned the operators of the ride. Currently, two people are under investigation for negligent bodily harm. Despite a 30-day prognosis, the girl involved is showing signs of improvement. Luckily, she was not hit by the mechanical structure during the fall.

It turned out that the safety bar, whose role was to ensure stability during the ride, opened, causing the girl to fall from a considerable height. The first rescuers were volunteers from the National Carabinieri Association, who pulled the girl out of the dangerous situation, followed by health workers who resuscitated her and transported her to hospital.
