The Sixth Rugby at the Pesciolino trophy

The 18th Pesciolino Trophy was held on the weekend of 4 and 5 May, organized every year by the friends of Elba Rugby in Portoferraio.

An oval event that conquers everyone, players and families, thanks to the coexistence of rugby and the sea in the beautiful setting of the Island of Elba.

The good weather that accompanied the weekend was a precious ally for another highly successful tournament that Sesto Rugby was able to enjoy to the full.

The young rossoblù were present with all the minirugby categories, from under 6 to under 12.

The educator of the youngest is happy with his team Antonio Colella: “Our U6 demonstrated team spirit and fun on and off the pitch, showing great understanding between all the participants. We educators are very happy with what we have seen.”

His colleague echoes him Federico Cipriani: “Our U8 boys proved to be gritty and tenacious, certainly making clear progress on the pitch, but above all there was a lot, a lot, a lot of fun and laughter among everyone: boys, parents and coaches.”

Enrico Forniwhich deals with under 10s, adds to the matter: “The Elba tournament is always an opportunity for children and parents of all categories to group together. A lovely two days where everyone has a blast.”

Under 10 category which for the record reached the final for third and fourth place, while the under 12 category achieved a respectable seventh place, after going through a tournament with only one defeat in the six games played.
