World football in mourning. Rossano Berti, an old Granata acquaintance, has died: he had been a collaborator of Davide Nicola
The world of football is crying Rossano Berti. The former goalkeeping coach has in fact died at the age of 54. Berti was a long-time collaborator of Davide Nicola, specialized in goalkeeping training and the preparation of free kicks, and therefore also experienced the Granata environments. In addition to the season and a half in Turin, the class of ’69 followed the coach to Livorno, Bari, Udine, Genoa and also Salerno, for a relationship that had become more of friendship than work. But now Berti is gone, leaving an unfillable void.
Turin’s condolences
“President Urbano Cairo and the entire Torino Football Club, saddened by the sad news, are close with affection to the Berti family for the passing of Rossano Berti, goalkeeping coach and technical collaborator of Davide Nicola in the 2020/21 season at Torino. To his dearest loved ones, to his relatives and to his many friends, the fraternal embrace of the Granata world“.
