Villongo. The plan is always the same but this time the loot is really huge. Maxi scam incident involving an elderly woman from Villongo on Wednesday evening (March 26) with two men who stole gold objects worth 60 thousand euros from her.
The criminals, Italians, pretending to be members of the police force, they first called her at home telling her that her daughter had been injured in a serious car accident and immediately needed a large sum of money.
The woman, over eighty, taken by fright, didn’t think twice and told the man on the phone to reach her at home and he would give her what he had. When the two arrived, not having cash on hand, the victim gave them all the gold objects she had at home, including many linked to personal memories, for a total value of over 60 thousand euros.
Once the criminals left, after recovering from the shock, the old woman became suspicious and called the (real) police. The agents of the Brescia Flying Squad with the collaboration of colleagues from the Belluno police headquarters, who were already investigating other similar cases that occurred in recent weeks in various areas, identified the two alleged perpetrators. At the disposal of the prosecutor Silvia Marchina I am now in custody in prison, awaiting validation by the investigating judge.
