Genoa. And the Tigullio the area most affected by the heavy rains that hit Liguria from the early hours of the morning. At midnight theyellow weather alert for thunderstorms in central-eastern Liguriawhich will close at 6.00 pm in the Entella, Vara and Magra basins (at 6.00 pm elsewhere).
Currently, the most intense phase of the disturbance affects the area of Tigullio, where showers of 31 mm/h are developing in the Casarza Ligure area. TO Riva Trigoso they are reported flooding near Rena. The night hours were characterized by an initial phase without thunderstorms, with constant rain that began to affect the region, starting from the west, from 4am. The rainfall, of weak to moderate intensity, reached a peak of around 20-25 mm/ha Ne, Carro and San Colombano. The rain then intensified in the central-east, where in the last few hours an average of around 40 mm of rain/12 hours accumulated, with a peak of 81 mm/12 hours in Bargone, in the municipality of Casarza Ligure.
Of particular note is the strong wind, with gusts reaching 191.5 km/h at Casoni di Suvero127 km/h Tanadorso, Ronco Scrivia, and 116.4 km/h in Giacopiane; along the coast maximum gust recorded in La Spezia with 104.4 km/h. The southwest wind is also causing aunderstanding storm with a significant wave of 4 meters and a period that will reach 10 seconds today evening.
Temperatures are quite cold inland, with values that drop to -4.4°C at 1,845 meters above sea level in Poggio Fearza in the Imperia area. In the hinterland of Savona and Genoa, minimum temperatures hovered between 0°C and -2°C.
