See how AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3.1 improves the quality of five Sony games

When AMD announced FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 3.1 at the end of March there was still no list of games that would be supported, with the exception of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Now that the upscaling technology is finally available, we know the top 5 titles that already support it.

FSR 3.1 is the latest open-source upscaling and frame generation technology developed by AMD, which brings improvements to “temporal stability” by reducing the flickering and ghosting effect typical of these algorithms.

It also introduces decoupling of frame generation from upscaling which allows you to combine it with other upscaling techniques such as DLSS or XeSS.

Support for Vulkan e has also been added the development kit for Xbox video gamesas well as the new FidelityFX API which makes it easier for developers to debug and ensures compatibility with future versions of FSR.

To demonstrate the improvement in quality, AMD decided to compare the old FSR 2.2 (but in the meantime they had arrived at FSR 3.0) with the new FSR 3.1. The differences are especially noticeable in the rotor on the right side of the scene.

FSR 3.1 is currently available in 5 titles: Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered e Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Prossimamente arriverà anche in God of War Ragnarök.

Taking advantage of the announcement of the actual availability of FSR 3.1, AMD highlighted that FSR 3 is now supported in over 60 games, linking the page which lists all the titles that can use FidelityFX Super Resolution in the different versions.
