Towerborne has a confirmed release window: the Xbox exclusive is coming to Game Pass soon

Among the unexpected absences of this wave of summer presentations we can safely include Towerbornethe new game from Stoic Studio that we expected to see at least at the Xbox Games Showcase and instead it didn’t show up: until now, at least, given that the developers have given some updates confirming the release of the Xbox exclusive for 2024with launch at day one on Game Pass.

The fact that he had not shown up in recent events had led to suspicions of a possible postponement for Towerborne, but the authors of The Banner Saga have instead confirmed that the game’s release is still scheduled for this year, pending a release date more precise official release.

The game director Daniel McLarenin particular, has published a new post on the official blog dedicated to the game in which it explains numerous features of Towerborne, complete with new unpublished images.

What is Belfry?

In this post we get to know Belfrya last refuge where humanity seeks protection from the monsters and other mysterious threats that now dominate the world.

Players will also be able to feel at ease in this place, with the possibility of establishing a base of operations and a sort of hub for quests.

It is the classic central meeting place from which to take part in missions, organize characters and equipment and prepare for the fights that await in the surrounding world, in short. Inside we find the Council building, the ACE HQ, the Forge, the training room and many other useful structures.

These are described in more detail in the post in question, to which we refer you linked as a “source” for more detailed information on these features of the game. We don’t know much about it yet, but Towerborne is supposed to be some sort of action RPG with 2D graphic elements that could recall a sort of Guardian Heroes more inclined towards role-playing games.

Previously we talked about its evolving world, while in this case we learn something about its basic mechanics. The release is briefly mentioned at the end of the post, with McLaren reiterating that the game is expected to release this year, with more information to come.
