GuliKit “anti-drift” joysticks arrive on PS4, PS5, Xbox and Switch Pro controllers

Many Nintendo Switch owners have had to deal with “Joy-Con drift”, so much so that the problem has raised a real fuss on an international scale. However, the big N is not the only company involved and other large manufacturers such as Microsoft and Sony have also had to take action.

After developing replacement sticks for Nintendo Switch, GuliKit is preparing to bring its own “hall effect” magnetic technology also on PS4, PS5, Xbox and Switch Pro controllers, with an update kit that promises to solve the drifting issue once and for all. Here are the details.

GuliKit’s new “anti-drift” sticks will be compatible with the controllers of the main consoles: DualSense, DualShock 4, Xbox Controller And Nintendo Switch Pro Controller they can therefore be upgraded with hall effect magnetic joysticks which promise to eliminate the problem of drifting, while ensuring greater longevity.
However, the sticks will not be available for the DualSense Egde and Xbox Elite Controller, as initially planned. Interviewed by colleagues at The Verge, the commercial director of GuliKit, Jack He, declared that the choice to avoid the “Pro” controllers from Sony and Microsoft depends by the absence of adequate calibration software for the correct functioning of the new kit.

In all likelihood, to update the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series
